Office Blogs reported today that a new security feature is available in Office 365: Exchange Online Advanced Threat Protection (ATP). While the existing Exchange Online Protection (EOP) service already protects against spam, viruses, and malware, the new ATP service provides even more protection against advanced threats.

ATP goes above and beyond by providing protection against unknown malware and viruses, time-of-click protection against malicious URLs, and rich reporting and URL trace capabilities. It’s in private preview for now, but expect it to be available this summer as an optional, paid service for Office 365 commercial accounts.
