Microsoft Ignite 2016 Relocated: Windy City –> Hotlanta

Microsoft Ignite 2016 was originally scheduled to be in Chicago in May, but has been relocated to Atlanta and rescheduled for September 26-30. There was some confusion on if it was canceled, however, Microsoft confirmed on the Office Blog that the conference is not canceled.

Microsoft Ignite is the user, developer, and professional conference for Microsoft Exchange, Lync, Project, SharePoint, and more. This is the second year the conference combines the mentioned software programs into one consolidated conference where users gather to learn about industry trends and hear about Microsoft’s software enhancement plans. Last year, we covered the event by highlighting the top Office 365 focused sessions and summarizing the 5 Key Takeaways From Reinventing Productivity With Office 365 at Ignite.

Ignite 2016 will include many Office 365 sessions as Microsoft continues to promote adoption of the cloud office system. Based off a recent BetterCloud survey, 62 percent of the organizations surveyed shared that they expect to run 100 percent of their IT on the cloud by 2020. Microsoft has been slower than other tech giants to migrate toward the cloud, however, with Nadella’s start as CEO in February 2014, Microsoft is maintaining its laser focus on building “the intelligent cloud platform.” This focus will be apparent at the Ignite conference where you can learn about Office 365, as well as network with other IT professionals who run their organizations in the cloud.

Stay tuned for more information on the conference. Pre-registration is now open.
