Assistant.to is a Chrome extension that integrates with Google Calendar, letting you schedule meetings right from your compose window. Â It cuts out the back and forth between meeting participants, making it a fast, easy way to book meetings.
- Head to the Chrome Web Store and search for Assistant.to. Install it by clicking on the
button, and give it permission to access your Google account.
- In Gmail, when you start writing a new email, you’ll notice this icon
for the extension in the lower right-hand corner. When you click on it, it opens up a scheduler window, where you can see your current availability and pick out a few times that will work for your meeting. You can give the meeting a title, a location, and add a description if you want.
- Your meeting time selections will be added right into the email body. To avoid any time zone confusion, Assistant.to will automatically detect and convert your recipient’s time zone.
- Your recipient will have the option of very simply clicking on the option that they want to choose for the meeting time. They’ll see a confirmation screen to let them know that the meeting is scheduled and will also receive a calendar invite.
- As the sender, you’ll also receive a confirmation email letting you know which time the recipient selected, as well as a calendar invite.
