Here’s an excerpt from the report:
SaaS growth took a breather
We’re reaching a turning point for SaaS adoption. After years of rapid growth, organizations are now using fewer apps on average. This shift reflects a maturing IT environment where consolidation is becoming a key strategy.
52% say that it’s more heavily scrutinized by leadership with stricter approvals and more oversight; nearly half (44%) report that their IT teams were tasked with reducing SaaS spending.
The most pressing concern is securing SaaS apps
While reducing SaaS expenses is a growing priority, data security in SaaS applications remains the paramount concern for most organizations. This focus on security extends beyond initial security checks for new software. It encompasses protecting user activity and data, being notified of suspicious file sharing, and taking appropriate corrective actions.
SaaS security is not a one-time task; it demands ongoing vigilance.
ULM is still too slow, hampering productivity, employee experience, and security
Last year, a staggering 58% of companies failed to equip new hires with the necessary tools on their first day. This delay significantly impacted productivity as employees were left waiting.
Making matters worse, nearly half (50%) of IT departments fell short on offboarding as well, taking more than 24 hours to complete tasks for departing users. (We hate to see the consequences of this)
These inefficiencies highlight the urgent need for zero-touch automation.
