Before you delete a user in Google Apps it’s important to be aware of how you can recover their data, just in case it’s needed later on. This is also helpful if you’ve accidentally deleted a user (hopefully none of you have encountered that problem!).

Once you’ve deleted a user, Google holds on to their data (Including docs, calendar events, mail, etc.) for 5 days. After that 5 days is up, however, that data is gone and there is no way to recover it. We always suggest keeping track of exactly when a user has been deleted, so you can remember to restore data within the 5 days if needed.
