Calling all Harry Potter fans: You can truly feel like a wizard now, even if you never got your Hogwarts acceptance letter.
In honor of the upcoming film “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” (the prequel to the Harry Potter series), Google announced last week that you can use your Android phone to cast three Harry Potter spells.
All you have to do is say:
- “Okay Google, Lumos” – this will turn your flashlight on
- “Okay Google, Nox” – this will turn your flashlight off
- “Okay Google, Silencio” – this will silence the ringer and notifications

You can also use Google Street View and get a glimpse of the world of “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” which is set in New York in 1926. Just search for “Fantastic Beasts” in Google Maps. Get a look at the MACUSA (Magical Congress of the USA), the Blind Pig (a “witch-friendly subterranean speakeasy”), and more.
