In an earlier video we discussed the different tools available to you inside of Google Hangouts. This video covers all of the different ways you can actually start a Hangout, utilizing Gmail, Google+ and Google Calendars.

The most obvious way to start a Hangout is by replacing the traditional Google Chat in Gmail with Hangouts. My favorite way, however, is by including a Hangout as a video call inside of Google Calendars, which makes joining a video call for a meeting so simple.

      Hello Giovanni,

Unfortunately there isn’t a easy way to setup a Hangout with non-Google accounts but you can enable Google Talk to do this. Click here for a support page with instructions to enable this feature in Google Talk.

Click here for a side-by-side comparison of the features for the 2 services offered to Google Apps customers.

Hopefully Google will update Hangouts with this.

      Thank you,
      Google Gooru
