Sometimes picking up the phone can be more efficient than typing out an email.

With Skype for Business, users can easily make phone calls from their computer and connect with colleagues. For those work from home days or weeks on the road, making a direct call in Skype for Business can be the ticket to get work done.

Here are the steps outlined in the video above:

1. Log into Skype for Business.
2. View your contacts currently online
   • Look for green status that signifies when a contact is online
3. Hover over the icon to the left of the name you want to contact.
   • A telephone icon will appear.
4. Click the telephone icon and a new window will appear. You will hear a ringtone that is dialing the contact.
5. To end the call, select the red telephone icon.
