How to Insert Multiple Rows in Google Sheets

Shortcuts make spreadsheet work a lot easier. And if you’re doing a repetitive task, chances are, there’s likely a shortcut you can use.

In Google Sheets, adding a row one at a time can get repetitive. With the right-click drop down menu, you are able to add multiple rows at once. Watch the video to see how this quick tip is done and follow along with the steps below.

  • Highlight the amount of rows you want to add.
  • Right click on the highlighted rows and select “Insert X above” or “Insert X below.”
    • Note: The amount of rows you highlight will be the amount of rows added.
