G Suite Settings Now Available in BetterCloud User and Group Flyout Tabs

BetterCloud | Another day, another BetterCloud update. A “Settings” section is now available in both the User and Group detail flyout tabs. This section contains items like the Gmail or G Suite native settings for the data object you’re viewing.

Chrome OS Joins Forces with VMware to Accelerate the Adoption of Chromebooks in the Enterprise

Google | “Chrome OS enterprise customers will now benefit from an extended partnership with VMware, which we announced today at Dell EMC World. The collaboration includes integration with VMware Workspace ONE, allowing customers to easily and securely deploy applications on Chrome OS devices.”

The New Facebook Ads Manager for Excel Supercharges Campaign Reporting

Office 365 | “Starting today, Facebook Ads Manager for Excel (FAME) will allow advertisers to quickly run a single report to download data from multiple ad accounts. With FAME, you can build and share common reporting templates in Excel and download performance data directly into worksheets without manual integration, while the refresh capability ensures your reports are always up to date.”

Start Using Asana In 15 Minutes

Asana | “Asana lessons are short slides that show you the most important features and workflows to get you up to speed on how to use Asana. They’re animated and only take a few minutes for each lesson.”

Global Search Now Available in BetterCloud

BetterCloud | An anxiously awaited feature has arrived. Global Search is now available in all main sections of BetterCloud. Searches can be scoped by either the “Users” or “Groups” object type.

Upcoming Change: Encouraging More Users to Use Work Profiles On Personal Android Devices

Google | Alright, yesterday Google went off and announced about 40 things. “Starting with Google Apps Device Policy v7.55 and above, the default enrollment process will utilize a work profile for those customers that have enabled Android at work and are whitelisting apps in managed Play, and for those devices that do support work profiles.”

Google | Using the “Google app and mobile web in the U.S., doing a search for events brings up a clear summary of activities from sites across the web like Eventbrite, Meetup and more, that might be just what you’re looking for. To try it, type in a quick search like, ‘jazz concerts in Austin,’ or ‘art events this weekend’ on your phone.”

Welcoming Owlchemy Labs to Google

Google | Google is “thrilled to welcome Owlchemy Labs.” The newly aquired company “created award-winning games like Job Simulator and Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality which have really thoughtful interactive experiences that are responsive, intuitive, and feel natural.” The post goes on to say the companies will be “working to create engaging, immersive games and developing new interaction models across many different platforms to continue bringing the best VR experiences to life.”

Create Your Own Street View Imagery With New 360 Cameras

Google | Google announced a “simple way to share your perspective, with a new ‘Street View ready’ certification standard integrated with 20 new 360-degree cameras coming to market in 2017. The cameras, which will be released over the coming months, all meet one of four new “Street View ready” standards, giving you the flexibility to choose the best way to upload imagery based on your interests.”

Invite All the Right People to Your Communities All at Once

Google | “Community owners and moderators can share an invite link with their group however they choose. People with the link will be able to directly join both private and ask-to-join public Communities, and anyone who doesn’t have a Google account or Google+ profile will be able to create one along the way. Communities that are restricted to a given G Suite organization will continue to only be accessible to members of that organization.”

New Google Group and Email Actions Available in BetterCloud Workflows and Action Engine

BetterCloud | New actions include the following:

1) Send Email to User: This action sends a Gmail message to a specified user’s email address.
2) Send Email to Group: This action sends a Gmail message to a specified group’s email address.
3)Add Group to Group: This action adds a group to another Google group.
4) Remove Group from Group: This action removes a group from another Google group.”

Introducing OneDrive Files On-Demand and Other Features Making It Easy to Access Files

Office 365 | Neat. “The new OneDrive Files On-Demand feature will be delivered with the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. With Files On-Demand, you can access all your files in the cloud without having to download them and use storage space on your device.”

Office 365 | New developer opportunities announced at Microsoft Build 2017 related to the Microsoft Teams developer platform, the Microsoft Graph, and Office users with partner integrations.

Power in Numbers: Asana Adds 7 New Integrations

Asana | The new integrations are Microsoft Teams, Everhour, Tray.io, Zenefits, Unito, Okta, and OneLogin.
