Spring is here and so are the upcoming features and software for Microsoft and Google. It’s been almost a year since Windows 10 launched and Microsoft is celebrating by sharing more of the upcoming features. Skype for Business for Mac will be soon available to Apple users and IT admins to test-run the communication app. Google updates continue to be bountiful. Last week the company announced a variety of features to improve your Google Sheets, Android, and Chrome experiences.

Betting on Inking – As part of the first year anniversary of Windows 10, Microsoft is announcing Windows Ink, Redmond Magazine reports. The new Ink Workspace will be enabled by the top button of a pen and encourages people to use the inking tool for post-it notes, to sketch, and markup screenshots.

Microsoft Releases Beta to Microsoft Insiders – At Microsoft Build last month in San Francisco, Microsoft released a beta to Windows Insiders, a group of dedicated and curious professionals who are willing to install preview builds on their PC. Windows Insider, Lance Ulanoff, shares his thoughts and reactions to the build in this Mashable article.

Skype for Business for Mac Now Available in Preview – Curious to test out the new Skype for Business Mac client? Commercial customers can send a request to test at www.SkypePreview.com. In the coming weeks, Microsoft will be sending invites to IT administrators to download the new software.

Schedule Meetings from Your Breakfast Table – Scheduling just got a whole lot easier on the Google Calendar for Android app. The “Find a Time” feature in the app lets you find windows of availability quickly when you are scheduling a meeting.

Containing the YouTube Pandora Box – YouTube is a wonderful Google App that is filled with practically any type of content you may want to find. However, there, are many situations when it’s important to control which videos are accessible and which videos are not. Now Google Administrators are able to whitelist YouTube channels. You can also choose between two levels of Restricted modes; strict or moderate.

Microsoft Releases New Windows 10 Preview for PCs with Office 365 Search in Cortana – Microsoft announced the release of a new Windows 10 preview build for people in the fast ring of the Windows Insider Program. Build 14332, which follows build 14328 from last week, comes with several feature improvements and bug fixes, and it also marks the beginning of the previously announced “Bug Bash” to uncover new software issues.

Introducing Yammer to External Groups – The Yammer team is passionate about helping people work effectively in teams across their company. But collaboration doesn’t stop at the company boundary. Sometimes you need to work closely with customers, consultants, partners or suppliers outside your organization. Yesterday, Microsoft announced the new external groups feature in Yammer, enabling you to include people outside your company in a Yammer group—making it easier for extended teams to work together

Resize the formula bar for easier reading and typing in Google Sheets – Ever need to expand your formula bar to see your whole formula in Google Sheets? Now you are able to easily expand the formula bar. You can drag and drop the bar to be the size best for you.

Coming Soon! Microsoft Exchange Support for Android Gmail App – If you use Microsoft Exchange on the Gmail Android app, you will soon be able to use dual delivery mail flow on calendars. This feature is set to rollout in the next few days.

Google Drive Notifications Are At Your Chrome Front Door – We all know you can receive a lot of notifications in a day. Many of those notifications include requests for access to documents, or new documents that have been shared with you. To make sorting through those notifications easier, Google has announced Google Drive notifications in Google Chrome that you can address immediately from your browser.
