Custom Triggers, ANY/ALL Conditioning, and other enhancements

We are excited to announce the general availability of Custom Triggers and ANY/ALL Conditioning in the BetterCloud platform. We’ve also added some additional enhancements to the product as well.

Custom Triggers enables IT teams to initiate workflows from events in applications not natively supported in the BetterCloud Integration Center or from custom internal applications that they have built. This extends the BetterCloud platform to help automate a much wider range of use cases based on the unique processes that IT teams encounter — moving towards a zero touch IT model.

ANY/ALL Conditioning for Content Scans and File Audit empowers IT teams to set more granular parameters for content scans, to include ANY of the specified data types or ALL of the specified data types. This helps reduce false positives by combining pre-defined data, custom data, and keywords in content scans — ultimately increasing security.

New Features:

Custom Triggers

  • Trigger workflows from events in SaaS apps not natively supported in the BetterCloud platform
  • Integrate more apps, including internally built ones, into BetterCloud
  • Automate more IT tasks with robust, customized workflows — automating earlier in processes
  • Require app to be able to send JSON-based webhooks to BetterCloud

ANY/ALL Conditioning

  • More granular content scans and reduced false positives
  • ANY Conditioning: File Audit or Targeted Content Scans contain ANY of the sensitive data expressions in my scan (e.g., SSN OR Credit Card)
  • ALL Conditioning: File Audit or Targeted Content Scans contain ALL of the sensitive data expressions in my scan (e.g., SSN AND Person Name)

Microsoft365 sync time enhancement

  • Significant reduction in time it takes for OneDrive and SharePoint files to sync
  • Faster file scanning in M365 for near real time security
  • Box sync time enhancement
  • Significant reduction in time it takes for Box files to sync
  • Faster file scanning in Box for near real time security

Files export limit increase to 1M

  • The export limit for files has been raised from 10,000 to 1 MILLION
  • Can be exported in CSV format
