This week we heard from Vadim Solovey, CEO of DoIT, a leading Israeli reseller, to find out more about his organization.

BetterCloud: When was your organization founded?

DoIT: DoIT was founded a little over 3 years ago by Vadim Solovey and Doron Birman.

BetterCloud: What led to the founding of your company?

DoIT: We first established DoIT to deploy IT infrastructure, mainly around VMWare based virtualization. As experts in this field, we understood the disadvantages that come along with on-premise solutions no matter how advanced and complex they are. Because of this, we starting looking at cloud based solutions. And of course, when you start thinking of “cloud,” Google pops into your mind, right?

During our research, we came to understand that Google as a company was born in the cloud and provides much more sophisticated offerings than many other vendors. Choosing to focus on Google Apps was only natural. Today, three years after making the decision to focus on Google, we have over 600 happy customers in Israel and we’re sure we made the right choice!

BetterCloud: How has the market changed since you started as a Google Apps reseller?

DoIT: Well, the global readiness for cloud based solutions in the past three years has made tremendous progress. Today, people understand that Google Apps is more scalable, more secure and more cost-effective than their on-premise systems. We feel that DoIT played a significant role in helping to make this change in the Israeli market.

BetterCloud: Does your company have a certain speciality?

DoIT: We work with both small and enterprise clients, but focus only on providing and implementing Google Enterprise solutions. We only hire employees with vast experience and knowledge of the IT field. All of our Project Managers used to be IT managers or had other high-level IT roles, so as a company, we’re able to look at a situation from the customers’ perspective. Finally, we focus heavily on change management and training and we understand that it’s vital to any successful project.

BetterCloud: Can you tell us one thing about your company we wouldn’t find out from your website?

DoIT: We believe that business is done between people, not just between companies. We always aim to provide our customers with great service and a great experience–starting from the initial call all the way through to providing ongoing support far after the “go live” date.

BetterCloud: What is your favorite BetterCloud feature?

DoIT: I really like the new centralized calendar management features, which were just announced. This was one of the major feature requests we kept hearing from our customers. It really saves a lot of time for Google Apps admins.

BetterCloud: What do you hope to see from BetterCloud in the future?

DoIT: Well, with all the features already available, that’s a really hard question. I think I’d like to see more robust Groups management for end users. Another area would be more granular auditing for admins in an easy-to-use dashboard.

BetterCloud: What do you hope to see from Google Apps in the future?

DoIT: The ability to select an email to be sent as an attachment in another email. I’d also like to see video conferencing integration with third-party conferencing systems.

BetterCloud: What are your company’s plans in the future?

DoIT: We plan to expand our customer base further in Israel and Greece, not just for Google Apps, but also for the Google Cloud Platform offering. In Israel, there are a lot of startup companies, so the advantages Google’s Cloud Platform can provide are tremendous.

BetterCloud: Favorite cloud service your company uses, other than Google Apps?

DoIT: Apart from BetterCloud, we really like Zendesk for managing our support tickets and contributing to the overall satisfaction of our customers.

BetterCloud: What’s the best thing about working at your company?

DoIT: We’re a solution provider with a focus on the future of cloud technology. Google is an extremely innovative company and it’s fascinating to see the progress they’re making in the cloud – they’ve made cloud computing more secure, more affordable and easier to use.
