Several notable updates to G Suite came across the ticker last week. The industry was abuzz about dark mode coming to popular Google applications and widespread changes to the History on/off switch in Google Meet. Check out all these updates and more in the links.

Changes to History On/Off Setting in Google Chat
G Suite Updates | Beginning October 8, Google is making two changes to the history on/off setting in Google Chat. It’s moving the history on/off setting from the compose box to the conversation settings. It has also updated the look and feel of the setting to make it easier to visually tell if you have history set to on or off.

Dynamic Groups Beta Enables Automatic Group Membership Management
G Suite Updates | Dynamic groups can be based on one or many user attributes, including addresses, locations, organizations, and relations. You can manage dynamic groups in the Cloud Identity Groups API and the Admin console.

Service Accounts in Google Groups and With Groups API Now Generally Available
G Suite Updates | Groups are a critical tool for customers to manage their G Suite deployment. Many customers use service accounts with Groups to automate user management, manage migrations, and integrate G Suite with other apps, tools, and services.

Dark Theme Now Available for Docs, Sheets, and Slides on iOS
G Suite Updates | You can now use Dark theme with Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides on iOS devices. You can also preview how your document will look in light theme for collaborators and viewers by selecting the three-dot “More” menu and toggling the “view in light theme” option.
