Light week for the folks at Google, but still some big updates to good ol’ (or new) Workspace. Now you can use video as your background in Google Meet. Plus, an easier way to see if an app that you want to install has been approved by admins. Read about these updates in the links.
Replace Your Background With a Video in Google Meet
Google Workspace Updates | In addition to replacing your Google Meet background with a static image, you can now replace your background with a video. At the moment, you can select from three Google made videos: a classroom, a party, and a forest — more options will be available soon.
Find Admin Approved Applications in the “Approved for You” Section in the Google Workspace Marketplace
Google Workspace Updates | The new “Approved for You” section in the Google Workspace Marketplace allows users to quickly see and install applications that have been approved and allowlisted by their admins.
