Introduction to BetterCloud

Thanks for visiting bettercloud.com, for the last 3 months we’ve been focused on the launch of our flagship product, DomainWatch. We finally launched last week and I figured it was probably a good time to introduce the company in more broad terms. (note: historically, I haven’t been a big blogger in my personal or professional life, but I’ve decided to give it a shot, hopefully I can keep it up).

First as an introduction, my team and I have been involved in the Google Apps ecosystem for the last couple of years as part of the largest Google Apps reseller/consultant in the world. Our roles ranged from leading the fast-growing SMB and worldwide online business to custom app development on Google App Engine, and we were part of some of the largest migrations to Google Apps ever.

After experiencing, first hand, the impact that Google Apps is having on enterprise IT, the speed of adoption, and the needs that enterprise IT admins have after they make the decision to “Go Google”, we felt that timing was right to start BetterCloud. I was lucky that the team I approached was as excited about this opportunity as I was, and the fact that we were all used to working together has made launching this company pretty seamless.

At BetterCloud we’re focused on building products that make moving to and working in Google Apps easier for both end users and admins. Today, our products include solutions for: email archive migration, user management and security/compliance. We also have created a how-to site, googlegooru.com, where we create videos that help users of Google Apps stay current with new features and also help new users quickly get up to speed. Google Apps is an amazing suite of apps that is revolutionizing how the world is doing business, but like any platform with this kind of user base and reach within an enterprise, there is a need and value in extending and enhancing that platform…. that is what we’re doing.

We believe that the way we’re going to be successful is to build a team of smart and dedicated people who are passionate about our customers’ experience. We work closely with our customers, listen to their feedback and deliver high quality products that make their use of Google Apps more efficient and effective.
