BetterCloud has enhanced its License Reclamation feature by integrating with Okta SCIM provisioning, enabling IT teams to automate license removal across over 60+ additional applications; including heavy hitters such as Bitwarden, ClickUp, Crossbeam, Docker, Gong, Hootsuite, LastPass, Lucidchart, ProductBoard, QuickBase, Seismic, TeamViewer and Wrike to name just a few. This update simplifies deprovisioning processes, reduces costs, and improves visibility into license usage.

Key benefits:

  • Expanded application support: Reclaim licenses from a host of new SCIM-enabled applications, including those without direct APIs like 1Password.
  • Simplified setup: Only the Okta integration needs to be enabled in BetterCloud’s User Automation module, eliminating the need for individual app integrations.
  • Smarter deprovisioning: Automate user offboarding and license removal directly through the Spend Optimization interface, with BetterCloud intelligently identifying which users are eligible for license reclamation based on SSO data.
  • Enhanced visibility: Quickly identify SCIM-enabled applications within the interface, facilitating informed decision-making during the license reclamation process.

This enhancement is available to customers who have integrated Okta with both BetterCloud’s Spend Optimization and User Automation modules. UPDATES:

Integration addition! The popular cybersecurity and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions software Delinea has now been added to the mix.

For those using the Looker Studio integration, you can now transfer ownership of Looker Studio reports and data sources within your organization. This feature ensures seamless collaboration and continuity, especially when team members change roles or leave the company.

BUG FIXES:

We’ve resolved an issue where selecting a single option in a “Wait for Response” email inadvertently triggered all possible options, causing multiple workflow paths to execute simultaneously. Now, only the chosen option will proceed as intended.

For those of you that had experienced some lag within the UI when using Workflow Builder and On Demand Workflows, we are happy to report the slow down has been mended. 

An issue where the “Add Member to User Group” action in Slack workflows occasionally failed due to a timing conflict has been fixed. Previously, the action would successfully add a user to a group, but the immediate verification step sometimes failed, leading to confusion. The action has been updated to ensure proper sequencing, and the verification step now accurately reflects the successful addition of users to groups.

BetterCloud has expanded its License Reclamation capabilities to include support for additional applications, enabling IT teams to optimize software usage and reduce costs. The newly supported apps include GitLab, Dropbox, DocuSign, Asana, PagerDuty, Calendly, ChatGPT, Expensify, Postman, and Box, with more integrations planned for the future .
