2025 BetterCloud product recap
In 2025, the IT landscape shifted from “keeping up” to “taking control.” As SaaS stacks grew more complex, IT and FinOps teams demanded smarter, integrated ways to eliminate waste and streamline operations.
At BetterCloud, we spent the year delivering on that demand. From expanding our License Reclamation powerhouse to launching Spend Optimization tools that provide crystal-clear ROI, 2025 was the year we put IT admins back in the driver’s seat.
Here is everything we shipped in 2025 to help you master your cloud environment.
User Automation
Automation remains the core of the BetterCloud platform. In 2025, we focused on making automated processes adapt to complex, real-world scenarios.
Expanded integration library

We launched more than a dozen new integrations for User Automation, resulting in over 100 new automated actions. This expansion is a critical step toward achieving zero-touch provisioning and deprovisioning. High-demand applications – including OpenAI, Linear, PandaDoc, and FullStory – now support impactful actions such as adding/removing users, revoking access levels, and updating departmental data.
Dynamic workflow capabilities
- Slack “Wait for Response”: This highly requested feature allows admins to build conditional workflows based on real-time user input within Slack, facilitating interactive and automated IT requests.
- Custom attribute triggers: Workflows can now be triggered by changes in any user data, including custom and native attributes. The new “Changed Operator” detects specific value shifts to ensure automation fires only when necessary.
- Merge actions: To resolve data discrepancies, we implemented Merge Actions. This allows admins to consolidate multiple accounts for the same individual, ensuring clean data and seamless user lifecycle management.
- User Automation dashboard: The interface received a full refresh to improve speed and visibility into automation events, including customizable pins for frequently used assets.
Spend Optimization and License Reclamation
In 2025, BetterCloud transformed spend data into actionable intelligence, helping organizations capture significant SaaS savings.
License reclamation expansion
We expanded our reclamation engine to include native support for Dropbox and DocuSign, followed by dozens of other high-utility apps. A major integration with Okta SCIM provisioning unlocked license removal capabilities for over 60 additional applications—including Bitwarden, ClickUp, LastPass, and Wrike—without requiring individual application APIs.
Advanced usage and pricing visibility
- Muting product usage insights: To maintain data integrity, admins can now mute insights for products that report misleading usage data (such as “infinite” sessions caused by SSO configurations). This acts as a guardrail, disabling automated reclamation for products with unreliable data.
- Pricing type identification: A new “Pricing Type” field specifies whether a product is priced “Per User” or “Platform.” This allows the Inactive Users dashboard to prioritize analytics for products where seat counts directly affect costs.
- Google SSO usage reporting: We introduced enhanced Google Workspace integration with Google Cloud Identity (SAML) data ingestion. This provides deeper visibility than standard OAuth, showing exactly how frequently users log in to provide a clearer picture of underutilization.
Contract and subscription management
Managing a SaaS portfolio requires centralized, transparent data. We introduced several features to consolidate spend tasks and improve contract accuracy.
- Spend Optimization action inbox: This centralized hub brings together Transaction Mapping, App Mapping, and Contract Renewals, allowing admins to manage all spend-related tasks from a single location.
- Contract concierge enhancements: We overhauled the Contract Concierge to support direct subscription uploads. A new agreement support page provides transparent processing statuses and a “need clarification” tab for faster communication between IT teams and data operations.
- Product suite support: Admins can now group related products (e.g., Atlassian, Adobe, Salesforce) to gain a clearer view of suite-wide utilization and spending.
Self-service agent upgrades

To reduce the burden of manual tickets, we rolled out significant updates to the BetterCloud Self-Service Agent. These enhancements include customized forms that overcome standard Slack limitations, allowing IT teams to automate password resets and access requests more effectively through a tailored employee interface.
Looking forward to 2026
Our commitment to innovation continues into 2026. As the challenges of SaaS lifecycle management evolve, our roadmap remains focused on delivering high-quality, high-pace updates that ensure our customers stay ahead of the curve.
Thank you for your continued partnership and for being the driving force behind the BetterCloud platform.
