Last week, Google introduced a new tool called Springboard, and also rolled out new editing features in the latest versions of the Docs and Sheets mobile apps. Microsoft announced several updates for both existing and new features for Office 365 Groups, as well as a new version of the Office 365 admin app and OneNote Class Notebook Tools for Mac. It also introduced a new Starbucks for Outlook add-in. Asana created a tool for admins to help them manage teams.

What’s New in Office 365 Groups Administration—June 2016 Update – Last December, the Office 365 team announced that Office 365 Groups are now supported by eDiscovery. Since then, they’ve delivered a number of updates to help administrators govern and manage Office 365 Groups, which provides cross-application group membership to enable teams to easily collaborate in their favorite apps.

Powering a More Connected and Collaborative Enterprise – Google Springboard helps you find the right information that you need at the moment that you need it. It searches quickly and easily across all of your information in Google Apps including Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Drive, Contacts and more. Springboard also assists you throughout your workday by proactively providing useful and actionable information and recommendations.

Announcing a New Version of the Office 365 Admin App – As an Office 365 admin, you sometimes find yourself in a situation when you’re not at your desk but you still want to act quickly. For example, if your CEO has forgotten their Office 365 password or an employee left the company, you want to take action right away. To help you in these situations and to easily stay up to date on the latest changes in Office 365, the Office 365 team developed the Office 365 admin app, which gives you access to all common admin features on the go.

Announcing OneNote Class Notebook Tools for Mac! – The OneNote team is excited to announce Class Notebook Tools for OneNote 2016 for Mac, which helps teachers work even more efficiently with their Class Notebooks—on the Mac platform some teachers already know and use.

June Office 365 Security and Compliance Update – In the last month, the Office 365 team has delivered a number of enhancements to Office 365 security and compliance capabilities, including the introduction of Advanced Security Management, a new set of capabilities powered by Microsoft Cloud App Security that gives you greater visibility and control over your Office 365 environment. Below is a roundup of recent security and compliance news.

Make Starbucks Your New Meeting Room with the New Starbucks for Outlook Add-in! – Outlook now makes it easier for you to have that personal connection by enabling you to meet your customers, business partners or study group at your favorite Starbucks location, all with a few clicks from your Outlook inbox. Simply click the “Meet at Starbucks” command from the ribbon when creating a new meeting request, search for your favorite Starbucks store, and add it as the location of your upcoming meeting.

The Deferred Channel June Updates for the Office 365 Client Now Available – The June Office 365 client update (version 1602) includes a number of new features and capabilities for those receiving updates from the Deferred Channel. As you might recall from a previous post, the Deferred Channel allows organizations to choose an update schedule that reduces the frequency of feature changes for the Windows desktop apps, enabling IT admins and developers to have more time between releases to validate Office against their line-of-business applications, add-ins and macros.

New Editing Features in the Latest Google Docs and Sheets Mobile Apps – The latest versions of the Google Docs and Sheets apps for Android and iOS devices include the following new features: Edit content in Print layout view in the Docs Android and iOS apps, and add new and edit existing conditional formatting rules in the Sheets Android app.

New for Admins: Team Management – Organization Administrators play a critical part in protecting the data that your company has in Asana and monitoring who has access to it. To help admins manage the teams in your Organization, Organization Settings now has a Teams tab to let admins view and edit all the teams in the Organization.
