There were only a few SaaS updates last week. Most notably, BetterCloud released file audits for G Suite, Box, Dropbox, and Slack. Additionally, G Suite released a few new features and the next feature that is headed to the Google graveyard. Catch up on all the SaaS updates here.

File Audits
BetterCloud | Last week we released File Audits. This feature is now available for G Suite, Box, Dropbox, and Slack. With this release, you can scan the files within your SaaS applications for sensitive material, such as files containing personally identifiable information, profanity, or financial information. You can specify if you are looking for files with sensitive information that are shared externally or publicly as well as files owned by a specific user or shared with a user.

Google App Maker Will Be Shut Down on January 19, 2021
G Suite Updates | Due to low usage, Google App Maker will be turned down gradually over the course of 2020 and officially shut down on January 19, 2021. Prior to the shutdown, you’ll need to review App Maker usage in your domain and take any necessary action.

New System to Improve Data Loss Prevention (DLP) in Google Drive
G Suite Updates | Google is introducing a new data loss prevention (DLP) system that will make it easier to deploy more advanced detection policies for content on Google Drive.

Use a Phone for Audio in a Hangouts Meet Video Call
G Suite Updates | You can now use different sources for your audio and video feeds in a Hangouts Meet video call. Specifically, you can use a phone call for audio while still using your computer’s camera and web browser for video.
