SaaS Updates for February 24, 2017
< 1 minute read

There are lots of interesting SaaS updates today, so let’s get to it.
In G Suite, you can now preview password-protected Microsoft Office documents, presentations, and spreadsheets in Drive. Also, searching for Google Drive files is now easier on your Android phone. According to Google, “Drive files and folders will be indexed via Firebase App Indexing and appear as results when you search for them in the Google app on your Android phone. Simply type your query and tap the ‘IN APPS’ tab to view any Drive files relevant to your search. Select those files to open them in the appropriate app.”
In Office 365 news, Microsoft released some updates for Microsoft Visio Pro, including “robust database reverse engineering capabilities and new third-party content that meets various industry standards.” It also announced the general availability of SharePoint Framework—allowing developers and administrators to build and deploy parts that are used by Office 365 users in their production environments.
And finally, Freshdesk introduced a new and improved Freshdesk Marketplace. This includes the ability for developers to sell their apps on the Freshdesk Marketplace for a fixed price, and more.
