Recently, Microsoft added features that allow Office 365 users to personalize their experience and complement each other on their work. In Office Delve, “people experiences” have been added that include the abilities to “Praise,” publish content to SharePoint, and tag Favorite pieces in the Delve stream.

In the new Delve features, employees can give praise. With this feature, employees can make shout-outs to fellow employees. Once a Praise is submitted, a notification email is sent to the recognized employee and his or her manager. The Praise is made public on the employee’s Delve profile and others can “Like” the recognition. Praise is currently available to Office 365 First Release customers in the U.S. and will be available to other customers down the road.

Also new in Delve is the option to publish to SharePoint on a “canvas.” Users can create their own blog space and easily publish text and multimedia rich content to be shared on the Intranet. Within Delve, users can update their profile by writing text, uploading videos from the Office 365 video portal and embedding other files from OneDrive for Business and SharePoint. Watch the demo here on how to author a new canvas.

Lastly, to make the user experience more personalized, users can designate “Favorite” pieces in their Delve activity feed. To highlight a piece of content you like or want to bookmark to read later, click the star in the top right corner. In the ME view, you can access all tagged favorites and easily remove a tag once you’ve finished reading the piece, or wish to remove it from your favorites.  This feature is available for both iOS users and within the browser for Office 365 First Release customers.

With these features, the Office 365 becomes more personalized and creates a stronger working community. Recognition in the workplace improves morale and can create a stronger team. Making the space “your own” with favorites helps employees design their Office 365 experience. The more customizable, the more comfort and familiarity employees can associate with Office 365.
