Don’t rely on blurry whiteboard snapshots to suffice for absent meeting attendees–use Office Lens! Today Microsoft announced that Office Lens is available for iOS and Android.

Windows Phone users may already be familiar with the tool, since it’s been available on that platform for a year. Office Blogs describes Lens as “a handy capture app that turns your smartphone into a pocket scanner and it works with OneNote so you’ll never lose a thing.” Some highlights of Office Lens:

  • Enhances and cleans up images you scan, as well as cropping to the corners
  • Converts images into Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, and PDFs
  • Scans business cards so you can save their contact details to Outlook or your phone’s contact list
  • Saves and/or exports to OneNote or OneDrive

Lens is currently in preview for Android (instructions are available at the end of the post here) and can be downloaded from iTunes for iOS.
