New Office 365 E5 Plan Makes Its Debut

At WPC this summer, Microsoft released the news that a new top-tier enterprise plan was being released: E5 would replace E4.

This week, Office 365 Enterprise E5 finally made its debut, bringing a wealth of new capabilities and features.

What’s New With Office 365 Enterprise E5

As you might assume, Office 365 E5 users will receive all the features that E1 and E3 users receive, with the addition of new features around communications, security, and analytics.

Skype for Business features are at the forefront of the new plan. E5 plans include the latest version of Skype for Business, which supports features like Cloud PBX and PSTN Conferencing; this should be a simpler solution for customers who currently rely on multiple conferencing platforms and legacy systems. Security and data analytics capabilities have also been included in E5, like Power BI, Customer Lockbox, advanced eDiscovery, and Advanced Threat Protection. The new Delve Analytics should prove interesting and valuable for organizations using Delve.

How to Get Office 365 Enterprise E5

The new plan begins at $35 per user per month.

To upgrade to the new plan, go to Purchase Services in the Admin Center. Office 365 Enterprise E5 will be listed under the Enterprise Suite section, and you can choose to buy now or try a free trial. If your company already has an Office 365 subscription and you want to upgrade, you should be able to pay the difference between your current plan and E5. You can also follow these steps or use the switch plans wizard.
