If you haven’t yet paid much attention to the upcoming release of Office 2016, it’s time to start!

There are so many great features to look forward to, including:

  • Easier accessibility to the cloud, like the ability to attach OneDrive files to an email message without leaving Outlook
  • Real-time co-authoring on the desktop applications, not just the Online apps
  • Smart features, like Clutter, Insights by Bing, and the Tell Me feature
  • Faster, better data analysis features in Excel
  • More compliance and security controls for IT administrators
  • Enhanced deployment and management options

The Office team announced that the preview will end and Office 2016 will become broadly available on September 22nd, 2015. Personal and Home Office 365 users can begin installing on that day from office.com, while Office 365 for Business users may experience some variation in how they are updated. Check out the “Improvements to the Office update model” in this post.
