Learn Why an Email Message Ended Up in Your Spam Folder

General Google Apps Yellow

Now when you view messages in your Spam folder, Gmail will tell you the reasons why it decided that message should go to the Spam folder. Interesting for those who are into that kind of thing. I find that Gmail does a great job of picking what’s Spam and what’s not, while Postini can be a little overly aggressive (although I don’t mind).

If you check your spam folder, you may notice several emails that have been designated as spam. Select an email and Google should provide a notification at the top describing why an email has been sent to the spam folder. If you have found a message that should not be in the spam folder, close the gray spam tab next to the title of the email.
