Introducing the New Gooru

introducing the new google gooru

Some pretty big changes are going on at The Gooru! The first of which was our brand new logo, and today we’re launching the New Gooru site! TO ensure everyone is aware of all the exciting changes, I wanted to give you guys a brief tour. The important thing to remember with this new site is that while the appearance is very different, all of the same features are available to you.

We’ve organized all of our content into a ‘mega-menu’ at the top of the screen with the three main sections of the Google Apps ecosystem: Migrate, Adopt and Enhance.

The Migrate section features content specifically for any organizations interested in making the switch to Google Apps. If you’re hesitant about performing the migration on your own, we’ve built a Google Apps Reseller Directory where you can compare resellers and determine which one is right for your organization.

The Adopt section will look a lot like the old Google Gooru site. This is where you can find all of your favorite videos in any particular category you could want. You can also sort videos by Most Recent, Most Popular, Most Recent Updates and more.

The Enhance section is designed for Google Apps Admins and users who want to get more out of the Google Apps experience. This is where you can learn all about the advance tools that are native to Google Apps, along with some excellent third-party tools.

Another exciting development is the expansion of our Gooru Contributor Program. We’ve given a lot of exposure to our contributors on our new site, and for good reason. These organizations and individuals are experts in the various fields of Google Apps, and we want to bring them to your attention as much as possible. They’re featured on every page of the site, along with each having their own Contributor profile page.

Finally, we’ve integrated heavily with Google+ to make the experience as social as possible. The Google+ commenting system allows us (and you the user) to keep the conversation flowing seamlessly from The Gooru, to Google+ and back again. We’ve also added Google+ profile cards for all of our Contributors so you can easily add them to your circles from Google+.

We’re really excited about this new website, as it should make for a better experience for everyone. If you have any questions about the new design, feel free to email me at gooru@gooruvideos.com
