AwayFind is an excellent 3rd-party application that I use to save time in Gmail. AwayFind lets you setup rules and notification methods, and then notifies you (via text/call/or many other methods) when you receive important email messages. This helps you stop checking your email every few minutes, and instead focus on more important work. Check it out!
