Note: This is the process if you are using Google Chome, Google provides offline access in other browsers through Google Gears
1. Navigate to Calendar
- Log into gmail, click Calendar at top of page
- Or go to http://calendar.google.com
2. Offline Activation
- In Calendar, go to top right and click on the gear icon
- Click the option “Offline”
- Install application from web store
- Now you have the Offline Calendar Chrome Extension installed. (Note: To make sure your Calendar is syncing offline, click mail option socket and make sure green icon is next to offline in drop down menu)
3. Troubleshooting
- Offline Calendar will not work if your browser is set to clear cookies every time it is closed
- To change this (in Chrome), click on wrench at top right of the page, then scroll down to “Options” (it may be labeled “Preferences” for some of you)
- From the “Options” (or “Preferences”) window, follow these steps:
→ Under the Hood → Content Settings → Uncheck “Clear Cookies and other site and plug-in data when I close my browser”
