Did you know you can keep a record of all of your Google Chat conversations? Enabling ‘Off the Record’ Chat allows users to keep some conversations private, and not stored, until ‘On the Record’ is enabled. Watch the video to learn how!

1. Open a Google Chat window with one of your contacts

• select a contact from the chat bar on the left side of your Gmail/Google Apps inbox

2. When the chat window is open, select the ‘More’ drop-down bar on the right-hand side of the window

3. Enable ‘Go off the record’

• All conversations with this contact will no longer be archived until ‘Off the Record’ is disabled

4. Return to the ‘More’ window to ‘Stop chatting off the record’
