Emphasizing Words with Bold, Italics, and Strikethrough Formatting in Google Chat

We all use text formatting in Gmail, so why not use it in Google Chat too?

Also, it’s just fun to strikethrough some text sometimes. ~~Right~~?

To emphasize text, first open a Google chat.

Bold: enclose the desired text with asterisks, ex: *Google Chat*
Italics: enclose the desired text with underscores, ex: _Google Chat_
Strikethrough: enclose the desired text with dashes, ex: -Google Chat-
