As Google Apps Admins, it can confusing initially when trying to determine the difference between user managed groups and admin managed groups. Fortunately our friends at Cloud Sherpas have put together this great video to help you out!
The first thing to note is that the major difference between the two is where they’re created. If a group is created in the Admin Console, or via the APIs, it’s an admin managed group. Whereas groups created in Google Groups are user managed groups.
