Here’s a neat trick: You can customize your Slack theme to match your company’s brand colors. It’s a great way to communicate your brand’s visual identity and ensure that your company branding remains consistent across all touch points.

If you work in IT, learn how BetterCloud’s Unified SaaS Management platform can help you manage Slack, G Suite, and other applications.

  • In Slack, open up your Team Menu (your company’s name in the upper-left corner) > Preferences.
  • Click on Sidebar Theme. (You’ll see several pre-existing themes, but we’ll teach you how to create your own custom theme.) At the bottom, click Customize your theme and share it with others.
  • Use the color selector tool to pick colors close to your company brand colors, or better yet, use the hex codes for your brand colors so that they’re 100% accurate.

  • Finally, in the field at the bottom of the page, copy and paste the hex values for all of your custom colors to share the theme with others. When you paste this into a Slack channel, people will have the option to change their sidebar theme to this one.
