The new Google Drive Create Menu is great for a number of reasons. Our favorite is the improved integration with third-party apps. But when it was initially released, a lot of our users were very confused about the disappearance of the ‘Create from template’ option.

Luckily, this feature wasn’t retired, but just hiding a little deeper within Drive. To create from a template:

1. Open up a Google Doc (Sheet, Presentation, etc.). It can be new or existing.
2. Select File > New > From template…
3. You can also visit the URL: https://drive.google.com/a/yourdomain.com/templates?view=domain (replace yourdomain with your actual domain)
