Each document (or spreadsheet or presentation) you create in Office 2013/2016 has its own associated color theme or color palette; you may be working from a pre-made template that has its own theme, or you may be working with the default.

Either way, you can select a new palette of colors to choose from with a couple of clicks in each application.

To select a new color palette in Word 2013/2016:

On the Design tab, click Colors.

To select a new color palette in Excel 2013/2016:

On the Page Layout tab, click Colors.

To select a new color palette in PowerPoint 2013/2016:

On the Design tab, click Colors, which may appear in the drop-down menu under Variants.
