Whether you’re looking for an elegant fade effect or you want to see your slides “glitter” across the screen, adding transitions between PowerPoint slides is an easy process and can add to your presentation’s effectiveness.

In the desktop versions of PowerPoint (2013/2016) as well as PowerPoint Online, you’ll access these options via the Transitions tab. Once there, you can add effects, change timing, and even add sounds to the transitions. Choose the Apply to All option to add the settings to each slide in your presentation.
