Lots o’news in the SaaS world last week… namely, Google is bringing Meet in Gmail to mobile. Also, Microsoft is introducing Money in Excel, allowing you to securely connect to bank, credit card, investment, or loan accounts and import account information directly into a spreadsheet. Introducing Money in Excel, an Easier Way to Manage Your Finances
Microsoft 365 Blog | Money in Excel is a dynamic, smart template and add-in for Excel that allows you to securely connect your bank, credit card, investment, and loan accounts to Excel and automatically import your transaction and account information into an Excel spreadsheet.

Manage Google Meet and Classic Hangouts Separately in the Admin Console
G Suite Updates | Google Meet can now be controlled independently of classic Hangouts chat in the Admin console.

Strengthening 2-Step Verification by Showing Phone Prompts to More Users
G Suite Updates | Starting on July 7, 2020, Google will make phone verification prompts the primary 2-Step Verification (2SV) method for all eligible users, unless they are already using security keys as their 2SV method of choice. This means that if you sign in to your Google account and are also signed in on a smartphone, you will be asked to follow phone prompts to verify the login attempt.

Coming Soon: Google Meet in Gmail on Mobile
G Suite Updates | Google is bringing Meet in Gmail to mobile. In early July 2020, they’ll launch this change to G Suite users by introducing a dedicated Meet tab in the Gmail iOS and Android mobile apps. This means users can join secure video meetings directly in Gmail without needing to open another app on their phone.

PowerPoint Live Is Now Generally Available
Microsoft 365 Blog | PowerPoint Live Presentations enables more engaging and inclusive presentations with the power of AI. Earlier this year, Microsoft announced that Live Presentations was coming soon, and they’re excited to share that it is now generally available on PowerPoint for the web.
