SaaS Updates for January 10, 2017
< 1 minute read

The big news of the day: Atlassian acquires Trello–to the tune of $425 million. So what’s next for the project management service? Trello says it will continue operating as a standalone service and will integrate with more tools like HipChat, Confluence, and JIRA.
In other news: Microsoft announced a single management experience for DLP policy creation and reporting across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business. In addition, they are introducing enhancements to the DLP data delivered via the Management Activity API.
JIRA Service Desk also announced the release of JIRA Service Desk server 3.3. New features include: customizable email notifications, the ability to group customers into organizations, and enabling customers to select a language for their portal.
And finally, this isn’t a SaaS update per se, but we thought it was pretty cool. Box published a guide on how to building your own AI-powered Digital Asset Manager. This how-to guide reveals how you can automatically add metadata or tags to images or videos you upload to Box and then move it to the right folder without any manual effort.
