Gmail Will Finally Let You Search ALL of Your Emails

Not all emails were created equal–at least according to Gmail’s old search algorithm. If an email was in your trash or spam folder it would not turn up in a search. This was a huge issue given the fact that emails were sometimes mistakenly placed in either the trash or spam folders.

It looks like Google has found a solution. When messages from the spam or trash folder match your search query it will have a special footer letting you know and asking if you would like to view these messages. This will keep the spam and trash messages separate but still accessible.

Using this same type of footer, Gmail will also suggest ways to narrow your search if your search is too vague and turning up too many results.
